Las Vegas Nevada is one of the hottest spots for Vape Vending.  Casinos generate over $10,000 per month per Vape vending machine.  Below are some of the rules and regulations that may pertain to vape vending.

VAPE LAW SUMMARY

It is illegal to sell vapor products to persons under the age of 21 in the State of Nevada.  

All vapor products must be sold in unopened packages which originated with the manufacturer and bear any health warnings required by federal law.

Vape Vending Machines

A license issued by the Nevada Department of Taxation is required to engage in business as a cigarette vending machine operator in Nevada.

Cigarette vending machines may be placed in a public area only if persons who are under 21 years of age are prohibited from loitering in that area.

A coin-operated vending machine containing cigarettes must not be used to dispense any product not made or derived from tobacco.

The owner of a retail establishment selling any vapor product must prominently display a notice at the point of sale indicating that:

 

  • the sale of cigarettes, any product containing, made or derived from tobacco, vapor product, alternative nicotine product or product containing, made or derived from nicotine to persons under 21 years of age is prohibited by law; and

 

  • the retailer may ask for proof of age to comply with this prohibition; and 

 

  • at least one sign that complies with the requirements of Nev. Rev. Stat. Section 442.340 (health warning about the effects of smoking during pregnancy).

Vapor products are taxed at the rate of 30% of the wholesale price.
