Our software connects to AptPay which requires customers to use a valid drivers license, government-issued ID, or passport to verify their age. It also uses facial recognition to verify that the ID picture is the person holding the phone (looking at the camera).

Step by Step overview of an age-verified transaction through VapeTM with Apt-VERIFY
- Customer clicks "buy" to purchase a product or disposable vape.
- A screen is displayed that akss the customer to insert their email address or phone number.
- Customer receives instructions via AptPay to upload their drivers license and take a picture of their face using the camera on their phone.
- Authenticity and verifcaiton occurs in approximately 15 seconds and the customer will either be approved or denied access to the payment screen to complete the transaction.

To ensure that the payee is in fact the person presenting the documents or license that we verify, we rely on biometric facial recognition for a liveness check.
